Seller's Tips
Go it alone! Of course I’m kidding. A Realtor is a trained professional. We have information and marketing strategies that are effective to reach the most people daily. The process can be complex. The listing contract and mls are just a couple of details you will formalize. Also check with your accountant about any concerns which may be involved.
Interview Realtors. Ask more questions than about their pay cheques. Find out market information that is current. And only give out selling information after your Agent is chosen. Potential buyers may use this information when it comes down to prices and terms.
Check your contacts, internet sites etc. Selling is your business and should not be posted to the public.
When you are ready to show:
- Remember clean counts.
- Uncluttered spaces are bigger and a buyers nose will tell more than sight.
- Wash walls, bedding, towels, drapes, and more.
- Should you paint? Keep it neutral.
- Pets should be kept to minimal stress. If you can take them with you please do.
Not only will you love your home more but a buyer will find it irresistible.
Sometimes a property does not sell right away. Check the market, look at your appearance from the drive-way, where is your price. Buyers are looking for value. Price matters.
If you have a business to sell, many of these tips do not apply.
