Buyer's Tips

Ask lots of questions.  An offer to purchase is a document that is serious in nature.  Do not take it lightly.  Your lawyer, mortgage agent, seller and chosen realtor all use it to complete the deal.  Plan for success.  Review your options and negotiate price and terms. 

Form an agency relationship with your agent.  Find out how an agent works for you.  An agent should show you all of your options – not just their listings.  Ask about duties of and agent to a client. 

Are you qualified by a bank or mortgage broker to purchase the home or your dreams.  Find out.  It is part of your bargaining power.  A Realtor can give you options to call. 

Make a list of 10 wants in a house.  Where do you want to live?  Size, number of rooms, storage space, yard, etc. 

Prepare for  closing costs , insurance, inspectors, and moving costs.  These are all $’s you may want to budget for.
